So does the Lebanon Government have to host Hezbollah and its Iranian allies in the south vs letting in US and NATO forces in the north? Or do I have this wrong?

You know Hezbollah are part of the Lebanese government, right? Has 15 seats in the 128-member Lebanese Parliament and participates in the government. It is part of the March 8 Alliance, a coalition of Shia Muslim , Christian, and other groups. Iran is an ally as it is to all Resistance state and non state actors in the region. By comparison NATO allies are Al Qaeda, ISIS, Zionist genocidal regime etc.
