Google is saying the first video on pseudo Orthodox Jews is "age-sensitive" so you have to sign in. I don't have a relationship with Google and will not start now. Is there any other way of seeing this video?
I'm assuming you're talking about Doc Malik video as I got on the other one fine and as I have the same relationship with YouTube/Google as you I will probably meet the same problem.
No. I've seen the interview with Doc Malik. But I couldn't get into the first one without "signing up". I've had a lot of strange things happening while I'm commenting to various substack comment sections and/or going into Youtube to copy the link for people on substack to watch (mostly regarding the same subject--i.e. Rabbi Yaacov Shapiro).
Today I read that Microsoft has been hacked. Maybe that's why. I want to get a Linux-based CPU. Inshallah. When I can afford one. Soon.
I've been in computers since 1976 so please excuse my ignorance, but what is Linux mint? Whitney Webb recommends getting computers with Linux operating systems for privacy. Microsoft changed their contract a few months ago to state that anything created with any of their software becomes their property. I guess it's for the AI product. It's enough to make me return to using my 1922 Royal typewriter for everything. I've been collecting manual typewriters since the 70's for just this eventuality. I have 22, no joke.
Linux Mint is a Linux operating system. It is a more user friendly OS, for people who aren't techies. I like it a lot, it's very unobtrusive and you don't have to jump through the microsoft hoops of giving out info every minute. My partner is computer savvy, so when I got a new laptop I asked him to wipe the microsoft OS & put in Linux. I don't know about ongoing privacy, but in order to set up the MS OS I would have had to give the system a bunch of info and I just didn't want to deal with that. I mean, when did it happen that your damned OS has to know everything about you? That was rhetorical. Microsoft and google and the surveillance market they've created want it. Typewriters are great! I am a lousy typist though haha!
Unfortunately, I type faster than the computer can register my keystrokes. Therefore, my typos. Thanks for that info. I never buy computers new. I have several desktops and even more laptops. Hate planned obsolescence. I'm thinking of getting a refurbished desktop that already has Linux on it. I only have one computer connected to the internet. The other computers give me privacy (well, not entirely, I know). Some of them are really old, but more than I really need.
It's important for people to get up to speed on surveillance technology. I don't do Zoom actively--I watch others, listen to others, but don't want my image online nor my voice, actually. Too easy to use AI and make deep fakes. I'm looking for a funeral veil to wear when I go grocery shopping. None of them are opaque enough for my purposes. Might make do with an excessive floppy sunhat. :-)
How weird, I have never signed into YouTube yet I didn't have to today , guessing it could be the problem you mentioned. I agree they can mess about with what you want to share, if they don't approve of your choices they make it hard.
Vanessa, I hope you are planning on writing a book or books because your substack can be wiped off the Internet easily. Hardcover (or paperbook) books are far more permanent. And at least in English I am not seeing anything comparable to what you are reporting on in either Gaza or Syria--especially Syria. I do not want to see what you know disappearing suddenly.
I need an island first and it's getting harder to fiind one not affected by the psychopaths who are trying to destroy the world. Thank you for your kind words 🙏
I've only watched the Tony Gosling video so far with as you say the annoying YouTube restriction. They've taken down today a video by one of my favourite channels with up to date reporting on Gaza, Yemen and Lebanon, so I guess he's back in YouTube jail! He's only been out for a couple of weeks. Apparently he broke a rule re violence.
You are as they say indeed your father's daughter.
Thank you for once again sticking up for the truth about Hamas, after all this time it irritates me somewhat when people keep bringing it up like they do as the truth has been explained so many times.
I am pretty sure that Hamas chose the day they did to break out of Gaza, a plan obviously in the waiting, because not only was Netanyahu dealing with other protesters but it was also the day reserve soldiers were protesting about something that they weren't happy with. Reserve soldiers can't be in two places I'm thinking. Also soldiers had invaded the mosque in Jerusalem the day before, hence the name of the operation.
First day of Ramadan, I know many were getting concerned that this is when Israel would hit heavily again. May even be why Openminded Thinker lost his video.
Another great interview Vanessa, though still scratching my head why YouTube restricted it.
Openminded Thinker, yes, he uses voice over but I know he's Muslim and his email is or at least used to be in the description, nice guy.
I managed to find out the video that offended YouTube was re Al Qassam sending drones through the iron cage and scoring some hits. Luckily they haven't put him in YouTube jail this time so he's cautiously posted today. Normally posts a couple a day but most not over twelve minutes long, unless a lot of news coming in then posts more.
Reminds me of the Snordster at times but I think it's one you can just choose, however all that works. However its done, it doesn't mispronounce words like AI voices used to/still do.

I will try to download and upload /embed.
I have now uploaded and embedded. Hope that works?

Make sure two other people you trust have a copy of your work/interviews/videos/notes/ etc. And they should live far apart.
Lord Cameron said Gaddafi was a dictator back in 2011 after the country had been destroyed

Is that the name of the poster? Would like to hear more about what he does.

Sounds like a professional actor. Shakespearean, maybe.
