After my episodes on WWII, I'm leaning towards this being something that was 'allowed to happen.' Churchill was the first to ever bomb civilian cities far from the front line--and for the purpose of forcing Hitler to retaliate and bomb British cities and reinvigorate enthusiasm for the war. What I don't get looking at some of my emails is, how so many are saying that Israel let this happen on purpose. To what end they don't say, the only purpose that I could think of would be so they had an excuse to bomb Palestine out of existence.
