Vanessa, a question. I had a full-on discussion with an Egyptian colleague who is half jewish and a zionist to boot. He asked me why Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States won't take any Palestinians and are just sitting there doing nothing to support them. He said it was because they considered the Palestinians to be vermin. After some thought I said it could be because they are 'occupied territories' - ie they all have a heavy US presence inside their countries and are effectively paralysed . If they show the slightest hint of support the US will stir up trouble. That could also apply to Egypt - is Sisi a US puppet? Also Turkey, which has always had a heavy NATO presence. Despite Erdogan's bluster he can't do much. He has to walk a fine line. With Jordan and northern Lebanon already capitulated that leaves Syria, Iran and Hezbollah. If the US does have these Arab states by the balls then it surely confirms they have no interest in a cease-fire and want Israel to "finish the job" He brushed my answer aside, of course!
That's a series of articles there that I don't have the time right now to write in comments but please do a search on my Substack for "Egypt" and you will find a series on Egypt that will answer part of your question. If you research the Abraham Accords you can understand the process of normalisation between Gulf States and Israel. North Lebanon is not occupied. The US and Israel have influence over factions in the interim government and in Lebanon but they don't occupy per se. The Resistance Axis is Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraqi Resistance, Yemen and Iran. I don't usually argue with Zionists. It's a self-defeating process :-) ErdoÄŸan is a liar who has been supplying Baku oil to Israel since October 7th.
With regard to Turkey, someone pointed out last week that Turkey won't cut off oil to Israel because it would ruin any chance they have of becoming a reliable oil and gas hub. Russia still supplies oil and gas to Europe - ie it has not weaponized them and never has. I believe the BRICS have a ruling that no sanctions against fellow BRICS members are allowed - if there is an issue you sit down and discuss it.
Turkey is not a BRICS member yet. Erdogan is a mafia don. He will always play both sides of the coin. He has not only supplied oil but raw materials for weapons manufacture by Israel. Erdogan invaded Syria by proxy and trained the terrorist gangs to overthrow the Syrian government, he is de-facto occupying northern Syria and building annexation walls in the north. He provides surveillance and drones for the Al Qaeda factions occupying north-west Syria. I have been on the receiving end of their missiles after Turkish drones identified our positions. Erdogan is a snake who is never to be trusted by any regional player or their allies. The best they can hope for is to maneuver him into a corner and obtain concessions.
I agree with everything you say though I was not aware Turkey was supplying raw materials for weapons manufacture to Israel. It must be hard for President Assad to have to deal negotiate with him.
Thanks Vanessa. Zionists have no internal dialogue and, therefore no conscience
