I was always critical of Greta, or really, of those who sort of "made" her, the predator class as you say. And, yes, I think the flotillas are more about some kind of celebrity turn (and very liberal west focused) than real help, especially, as you point out, when those on board are actually condemning real resistance. Western libs only like Palestinians when they can see them as complete victims. White savior mentality is rife among libs.
That said, a lot of people are desperate to help, which is, in fact, a good impulse. But the pix of Greta in the sun on a boat make it look like resistance is a matter of clean shiny hair and tossing on a kuffiyeh. It's not so helpful
But the desperation has to count for something, but what? eyes open and financial contributions to those suffering on the ground. I'm sure Palantir's all about targeting those who do that, too. Like Canada did with the trucker convoy back in 2022.
Again, thanks. And I'd be curious to know your perspectives on Al-Samoud. It's not western, I think, and seems less scripted, but I have no idea.
Hi, regarding Sumud which means steadfastness - it appears to be a Tunisian, Algerian, Libyan initiative which is barely getting any mainstream coverage (of course) - I haven't had time yet to check the organisers etc.. will try to do so next few days.
nope I'm not Canadian. The truckers were very popular here among people skeptical of the covid lockdowns. Cory Morningstar (Canadian), who Vanessa mentioned with respect to Greta T,, was also reporting on the truckers at the time.
Thanks Fiorella for clarifying and commenting on Alex's article. (i.e Craig lists ad not being verified, never did live in L.A, lack ground experience)! When you spoke with Vanessa and expressed how you lived in L.A and know the community well, I definitely was happy to hear your take on this. And then I read Alex's article. Once again thanks for your comments. Oh! I truly do agree with both of you regarding Greta. Oh! Dear.
What this article fails to mention is that the craigslist ad which has not been verified could have been put out by the other side, meaning Trump, democrat operatives and feds. It's not surprising because Alex is not from the US nor has he lived in Los Angeles. I am writing a piece that counters both this right-wing narrative that everything is Soros and everything is fake, as well as the left-wing narrative that dems are good. I lived in Los Angeles for ten years and learned everything about the activist community, whom I still have connections to. I followed the protests and have seen exactly how they go down. My friend on the ground right now supports everything I said here with evidence. The MSM, the right-wing accounts are taking videos and manipulating them to make police look like the victims. There are clear agent provocateurs there to sow chaos. How did the people questioning authority, come to cheer on draconian, fascistic policies? Well that's Trump's role; if Biden did this you'd see all these people cry about it. Only Trump could sell the country to Palantir, convincing his supporters who once cared about the First Amendment and questioned government overreach that this is necessary to combat the evil immigrants.
The protests are happening genuinely because people are scared, afraid and are being persecuted. However, politicians like Trump, Newsom, and other factions are taking advantage of this. It's not about immigration, it's about Palantir and pushing people who would be against that to accept it, painting democrats who are also part of it as saviors, and vilifying people who oppose state abuses and violations of human rights, creating chaos and turning people against each other. What Alex lacks is on the ground experience to know this and that's fine but please do not ignore those who have been on the ground. That's where you get what's really happening, especially combined with understanding the narrative management is far deeper than the reductionist, "Soros did it" and everything is fake. It's lazy analysis and leaves so much to be uncovered.
and, regarding this, I forgot to add that Fiorella Isabel's point about the cops in US is absolutely true, and frightening. In my neighborhood, small city in the southwest, very quiet nabe, not too long ago cops showed up with those city tanks and full swat riot gear, dogs, about 30 police heavily armed-- to serve a fking warrant on a neighbor of mine. A warrant. So, really, only those who don't live here or are heavily brainwashed can call for more policing. we are already very very heavily policed and it has only made for more violence. Obama for that matter exponentially upped the fed program 1033 which gives military gear to local police. clinton, I believe, started it. So, dems and repubs all on same page as usual.
Your discussion is cathartic for me also. I was glad to hear Vanessa talk about the weaponization of women's rights. Before I was on Substack, I made this video on Sam Harris and the War on Burkas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zITRZvUkgs4. He uses it as a faux-moral rationale to justify the invasion of Afghanistan.
I've also talked about the right of armed resistance, citing Arundhati Roy on the 'Gandhification of NGO's'. And Greta ... part of the psyop for sure. I think so that everyone who sees the weaponization of climate change will then dismiss the genocide of Gaza? I've read she's related to the Rothschilds, but everyone seems to be accused of that ;-)
Exactly what we talked about actually ;-) the whole George Soros narrative. I think we both said that there is potential for many of the low level dramas to be valid but with the direction of travel for the predator class being a surveillance state.
Illegal aliens need to be removed from the US. They have no right to be here. There is no such thing as an "undocumented immigrant". The media and the so-called progressives demand open borders. They support insurrection. They support slave labor. Los Angeles rioters are far more dangerous than the imaginary uproar of January 6, 2020. Read my book "Goodbye, Europe? Hello, Chaos? Merkel's Migrant Bomb.
Read the 1807 Insurrection Act: Gavin Newsom can't
excellent, thank you both.

Hi Lorie (off topic but because you mentioned Palantir and Canada Truckers, I am assuming you may be Canadian *?* - I live on Vancouver Island) Did you hear about the proposed Bill c 2? https://www.junonews.com/p/carney-wants-to-spy-on-all-canadians
My apologies to Vanessa. If inappropriate, please delete.

After replying to your initial comment , I only realized from another of your comments that you are a US citizen.
Thank you both, it's also cathartic to listen!
Where do you recommend to go to donate that will do the most good to help Palestinians?
I will try to find out for you, from people in Gaza. Thank you.

Yes this is not a defense of democrats. But a reiteration that it’s the entire system attacking people.

OK! Les agents provocateurs! <--- well paid! All the best to you, Vanessa. From Sooke, Vancouver Island.
