Thank you for a frank conversation. What i got hung up on was the dismissing of “anonymous” voices instead of offering different ways for “us” not inclined to disclosure to have a say. Much as this is an illusion, it is still a habit that I find hard to relinquish. It comforts me, the knowledge, that it is not I who offer freely my personal information — if others, AI et al, ferret it out it’s on their … karma(?) …

I think Mike did say that he understands why some people do keep their identity concealed.. however social media is FULL of anonymous accounts that do wage a very adversarial war against independent voices. I think that is what he was focusing on. :-) I also have to say that, these days, I am very guarded and will not share any personal details with anyone that I do not personally know or have some history with.. especially on personal messages or group chats.. another side issue of social media.

When I was at school, we still studied Plato and held debate evenings, so we at least had some idea of how to exchange ideas.

Would be interesting to know if this tradition is still encouraged.

No, now kids are brainwashed with horrible stuff like encouraging them to consider changing their sex. Even Uni teaching students are encouraged to be sympathetic to that.

I have a bit of an ironic observation with regard to those personalities that object to being what to think when one is telling them what they themselves think: I have found them less progressive in choosing multiple sources and independent journalism, more likely to subscribe to narrative pushing analysis more suited towards their being told what to think, like on Fox News or CNN pushing prescribed agendas. So, I believe, the notion of being told what to think is a projection of their pursuit of what and how to think. And this troubles them with cognitive dissonance, in challenging their own beliefs critically or skeptically. On China, I think they want a greater understanding in the west among the brainwashed people headed for increasing economic entrapment or slavery. So, they don’t want to see their arm chopped off by the dogs of war, when the dogs of war left to their own ruin, will bite their own arm off once they see that it’s held in the trap of plutocracy and kleptocracy, a revelation still decades away as the mythology is as much worshiped like a religion than tested as a reality.

It is fine to take legal action, but have you got independent judges?

You have a difficult job ahead. My emails from Down Under to a friend in Bedfordshire are regularly censored for minor issues. Try talk about midazolam Matt or something similarly silly.
