Aren't they kind organising the future of Gaza!! A truly sickening lot of people. I'm sure the people of Gaza are quite capable of choosing who they want to have governing them without anyone's help or rather non help.

As for ridding the North of Gaza of "Hamas", from all I've seen are Al Qassam and Al Quds pulling together and causing Israel to keep withdrawing more than once from the same areas that Israel have bragged they have gained full control over .

As you said Vanessa the best laid plans can go awry. 😊

Weirdly I'm just about to watch a video on odysee called " Inside Israels 2005 Withdrawal From The Gaza Strip Disengagement "

Resistance is not only Hamas, nor is it only in Gaza - you are absolutely right that the IOF are still getting badly hit even in areas they claim to be cleansed of Resistance. There is a chasm of difference between what Israel "plans" and what it will actually achieve. If only Egypt would act as it should, Israel would be finished. I had to do an interview yesterday with an Egyptian scholar who clearly believed or was selling the idea that Egypt is still a Palestinian ally - hard to swallow with all that Sisi et al have done to further the suffering and genocide in Gaza.

I agree, there are several different resistance groups but I guess its because those two groups put up videos of what they are doing that I mention them.

I also saw a quick video from the West Bank of resistance there taking out an Israeli tank the other day but no name given of the group.

Sadly your Egyptian scholar needs to remember the old adage, with friends like that, who needs enemies.

What a piece of work Sharon was. He thought God spoke through him. And if you think he’s bad, try his son, who is in a permanent rage and unapproachable. Israel is a breeding-ground for fanatics. And forget their plan. Why should the Palestinians even consider it? When the Resistance is so close to beating-back the IDF? Israel is depopulating, at the speed Israelis discover patriality ties with European states and apply for passports. Jews are no longer guaranteed safety in Israel.

What is the position of Saudi Arabia and the Sunni monarchies towards Israel's Gaza plan? Any chance that Russia and China could undercut Israel's horrific final solution?

I kinda covered KSA and Gulf state position in a previous article... but generally KSA wants to be the new regional supremo with US and Israeli support - even now while pretending to care about a Palestinian state, they are negotiating a defence pact deal etc with US while refusing to normalise with Israel, not until the genocide stops but until they can put Palestine to bed and get on with trade and economic expansion. Iran will be the most likely candidate to try to bring US-pivoted Gulf states on board. Going to be an uphill battle though and I am not sure its worth it. Just my opinion.

Thank you. With BRICS and multi-polarity increasing, I have a more difficult time interpreting interstate relations in the ME. As an activist, I also bring a lot of wishful thinking to the table.

I think the Saudi population is on the whole opposed to normalisation with the Zionist regime but the Saudi regime has banned all pro Palestine demonstrations and is cracking down hard. Similar to Jordan. So, white noise about a "Palestinian state" is meaningless under those conditions imo.

I was looking at one of the biggest proponents of ongoing genocide. Lindsey Graham. He should be a self parodying bumper sticker. Catch 33 https://www.lindseygraham.com/about/
