Excellent report that highlights the utter hypocrisy of the US and her allies who've not only lied about how taxpayers funds are being misused while covertly supporting Deash while what's really happening is stealing another nations resources.
Shame on the IDF for attacking a nation not only recovering from Western supported terrorist but also from a recent earthquake.
What's Israel long term plan for Syria - Woul it make sense to suggest that the long term plan relates to greater Israel which requires carving up neighboring nations while installing submissive puppets over resource rich territories much like the Palestinians are not getting the benefit of the gas in the Levant.
This what our Western governments are supporting - Julian Assange has already exposed the crimes of empire - however - now that we've learned who the real criminals are there is no retribution.
The Australian government aka the dangerously submissive Canberra poodle club simply hasn't got the spine to stand up to Washington's dog's of war and demand that the US leave Australia and close all it's military bases in exchange for the release of Julian Assange.
Isn’t it, indeed? I am sorry - I have to remember for the next time...it does NOT play on iPad or on its browser, Safari. I have just tried on my computer and Mozilla and it plays ok. Thank you so much for your reply!
I'm eager to watch but will only have time tomorrow, so forgive me for commenting before. I also have ''9 days in Raqqa' lined up.
I've watched a lot. The suffering of the People always overshadows any political narrative. Normal folk are caught between two forces, and its natural if they begin cursing the people bombing them, rather than who started it. And both sides always provide savage men the opportunity to hurt those weaker than them.
'The Cave' was my favourite. 'For Sama' did a good job too. More recently, 'Sabaya' stood out, the normal pain from sympathy but also with me clapping for the bravery of the rescuers. The same director did 'Deminer'.
Those that deserve more attention are 'Little Palestine, Diary of a Siege'. I never knew of that Syrian tragedy until I watched the doccie. 'This Rain Will Never Stop' was unique, because it was so artistically shot, and because it's about a Syrian refugee stuck in Ukraine during the war.
Although fiction, 'In Syria' gut-wrenched me. The theme of helplessness was more important than whose labelled the enemy.
Away from Syria, did you see Anne-Laure Bonnel's 'Donbas'? It's criminal how that documentary got shut down.
Your jogging of my emotions takes me a step closer to writing a proper post.
'For Sama' was a total lie from start to finish and covered up the crimes of the Al Qaeda-dominated armed groups against civilians and Syrian Arab Army prisoners of war directed by the Channel 4 embed in the terrorist held areas - Waad Khatib and her husband (fake name, fake doctor) Hamza Al Khatib who celebrated the torture of civilians and Army POWs on his Facebook page. The Cave is also based on falsehood and fraudulent chemical weapon narratives. Here is my in depth debunking of For Sama based on my on the ground investigations from 2016 onwards - https://www.rt.com/op-ed/480341-sama-oscar-aleppo-syria/ The same director who was behind The Cave (Firas Fayyad) also was responsible for "The Last Men of Aleppo" a total white wash of the crimes of White Helmets and Nusra Front during the 5 year occupation of the city. Here is my investigative report: https://21stcenturywire.com/2018/01/28/last-men-aleppo-al-qaeda-presented-white-helmets-annual-terrorist-oscarnomination/ Normal folk are NOT caught between two forces in Syria - the huge majority of people are living in abject misery because the West decided to destabilise, partition and plunder Syria while attempting to topple a government that did not comply with their regional agenda. I don't know who you work for but you have a very Western media skewed view of the filthy war against Syria that has been waged for the last 75 years. https://thewallwillfall.org/2021/10/28/75-years-counting-a-history-of-western-regime-change-in-syria-part-i/
"I don't know who you work for" isn't a normal reaction. Don't be so quick to be harsh. I don't need winning over, but that's no way to win people over. And that's what we need to be doing regarding many situations in our fucked up world.
I stated that I find value in documentaries beyond political narrative. Innocent people always die, killed no matter who they support, or what they think the cause of the war is. "Normal people" always suffer the most. I'm appalled at their suffering, and believe it should be broadcast.
I subscribed because I found an article of yours interesting. I will read the links you've provided despite your unfair insinuation.
I apologise for that question because I understood you were going to Raqqa, my bad. However I do not apologise for putting you straight on the films you recommended which do nothing to support ordinary people - they actually erase the crimes against ordinary people, some of the most heinous crimes in the history of US intervention. That you would suggest such films without at least looking into the background of them is a worry especially with all the information available that proves how the narratives on this war have been fabricated from start to finish. You cannot "broadcast the suffering of normal people" until you fully understand context otherwise you do an actual disservice to the ordinary people whose suffering has been extended thanks to people believing the narratives they are told to believe.
I'll make that your first comment and accept it :)
I've read two of your linked articles but it will take me time to absorb and read more. I know about the White Helmets, everyone in the alt community does, so I mean beyond that. I've got other things ahead of me but I've copied your comment and bookmarked those pages, and will return more meaningful at a later date.
Nice to know that "everyone in the alt community" knows who are the White Helmets now. I was largely responsible for exposing them especially in the early days of the war against Syria (Cory Morningstar outed them in 2014 also) https://21stcenturywire.com/tag/white-helmets/
I cried like a baby the first time I watched it. Such a powerful, honest portrayal of what really happened through the eyes of those that saved Aleppo and the many who died to save Aleppo and Syria.
It's hard to find good journalist - I became aware of your work via 21Century which led to the UK Column which I download in order to have something intelligent to listen to as opposed to the mindnumbing garbage released on the MSM.
The Piers Robinson video revealed that when the ''busses'' left Aleppo which included many of the terrorist - a number of them ended up opening businesses in Turkey. - [I presume that the authorities at least tried to identify and prevent the terrorists from leaving]
Syria isn't a signatory of the Rome statute so there won't be any accountability for individuals from the ICC - Specially since the new chief prosecutor of the ICC wasted no time revealing his true colors.
I've lost complete faith in the present legal system which denies justice while locking up journalist like Julian Assange who very clearly exposed a series of crimes being committed which has also exposed that no Western government has the balls to make a stand.
Syrian government has asked the US to leave - the US hasn't got a mandate to even be in Syria in the first place which is yet another war crime.

Vanessa, sorry, it does not play.....I will try in a different browser, but is there another link to this documentary? Thank you!
That is weird as I just tried and it played perfectly. I will find you the YouTube copy. https://youtu.be/BIwrrckuqIE

THE USA HAS NO PLACE IN SYRIA. I'm anti-imperialism and anti-NATO e.g. https://mikehampton.substack.com/p/03-putin-isnt-the-only-monster-in

I've watched 'Earthquake Aleppo', found it valuable, and will post it on Sunday. In the meanwhile, here's my advertorial for '9 Days in Raqqa' which I found to be a good 'sequel' i.e., construction after destruction - https://mikehampton.substack.com/p/9-days-in-raqqa-devastating-documentary
Thank you, Vanessa, for the story of Aleppo. I watched right through. My heart broke for the pain and suffering these beautiful people went through.
I cried like a baby the first time I watched it. Such a powerful, honest portrayal of what really happened through the eyes of those that saved Aleppo and the many who died to save Aleppo and Syria.
