Who armed and paid these idiots? Was this the CIA? and MI6? Israel? Turkey? How did the initial "militants" get their machine guns? From whom? Where did this stupid call for a caliphate originate? Do you know? I know about the schism between Shia and Sunni. I don't mean that. I mean more recently, in the last decade or so. It feels like much longer than a decade that this has been going on.

Obama-CIA-TimberSycamore FSA and then Al Qaeda, ISIS etc. MI6-WhiteHelmets-AlQaeda/AhrarAlSham/JaishAlIslam and ISIS. Turkiye-FSA now the SNA and HTS or Al Qaeda. Saudi Arabia - ISIS etc. Qatar - poured billions into the regime change war and fosters Al Qaeda and FSA. Israel- all of the above. France - Al Qaeda and Kurdish Contras. Egypt also supplied salafists to bring down Syrian government. The list is VERY long. Netherlands, Germany. Weapons came from all of the above, terrorists came from Libya to Turkey and were trained there in military camps, same in Jordan. Canada got involved later but made a contribution.

I remember when a British man was being tried in a U.K. court of charges of terrorism. The charges were dropped when his defence produced documents to show that the group he joined was funded by the U.K. government.

Thanks. What the hell is wrong with Erdogan? This is so depressing. He refuses to do business with Israel (supposedly) but is preparing to attack Syria again? What did all the above in your post above (first answer in this threat) have to GAIN PERSONALLY from involvement in this attempt to inflict mortal damage to Syria? Don't bother answering if the answer is too long and involved. It's a dreary day and the rest of my country is gorging in celebration of genocides gone by. Humans are so pathetic.
